Operational Reviews

In an operational review, REVPAR International, Inc. will undertake a diagnostic review of all the various operating departments in your hotel to evaluate their efficiency in generating income and/or achieving their respective profit potential.  Ultimately, we seek to determine whether the profitability of your property is maximized or can be enhanced and the means to do so. Through this process, we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of and opportunities and threats to your property, and subsequently recommend alternative approaches that may prove more profitable, economical and/or manageable.  Our operational reviews entail a critical review of the facility including physical and managerial aspects.  Areas which we will review include:

  • historical operating data of property

  • physical facilities

  • on-site management

  • departmental operations

  • employee evaluation and training,

  • organizational structure (span of control),

  • internal controls,

  • subject's marketing positioning

  • competitive set

Once we have completed the above operational, financial and market evaluation, we would prepare a summary report to include the following:

  • General overview of the operating, market and financial position of the hotel relative to the industry, competitive set, or other meaningful measurement tool;

  • SWOT Analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) to identify the issues affecting ownership, management, physical facilities, etc., currently and prospectively;

  • Recommended strategies regarding the market positioning of the facility, if applicable;

  • Recommended strategies in operational policies and procedures, if applicable,  that will have a positive impact on the future operating or financial performance of the hotel;
