Project Descriptions

Field and Sports Courts

  • Undertook a feasibility study relative to the conversion of a 25,000 square foot training facility to a "Sports and Entertainment Complex."  Study components included economic and demographic analysis, site analysis, focus group research, competitive market analysis, operational and financial analysis, conceptual design plan and single line drawings, as well as a return on investment analysis.

  •  Prepared a feasibility study for the development of a state-of-the-art 400 meter running track.  Components of the project included site analysis, focus group research, economic and demographic analysis, operation review of outdoor recreation program, market opportunity, conceptual design and single line drawings, financial analysis, and return on investment analysis.

Bowling

  • Prepared a feasibility study relative to a 12 lane expansion to an existing bowling center.  Study components included site analysis, single line drawing, economic and demographic analysis, focus group research, competitive market analysis, operational and financial analysis, as well as a return on investment analysis.  Recommendation was to renovate existing bowling center without additional lanes since we could not identify sufficient market support for the expansion.

  • Prepared economic feasibility study to renovate existing bowling center and replace all the lanes.  The study included economic and demographic analysis, site analysis, competitive market analysis, operational and financial analysis, as well as a return on investment analysis, for the expansion of the bowling center

Youth Centers

  • Undertook a feasibility study for the construction of a 4,539 square foot, 60-person occupancy teen center to replace a 1,200 square foot, 45-person occupancy building (scheduled for demolition) that was serving as the  teen center.  The preliminary project cost estimate for the new center was $1.5 million.  In conducting this assignment, we relied on both primary and secondary research to arrive at our conclusions and recommendations.  Primary research involved on-site fieldwork and undertaking research and interviews concerning future demographic trends and development trends.  Secondary research was conducted through the use of focus groups to ascertain the attitudes, opinions, and usage patterns of the user base relative to the existing youth center.

  • Undertook a feasibility study relative to the potential expansion of YMCA services, facilities, and/or programs of a particular YMCA or at new locations within the same service area as the subject YMCA in order to maximize their use and provide the greatest benefit to both user and operator.
